Support the Barrow Mansion During Hudson Gives!

When the Barrow Mansion was built nearly 200 years ago, it was a single-family home.  But now, the Barrow Mansion is home to hundreds of people.

Who lives in the Barrow Mansion today? The largest number of 12-step recovery programs in Hudson County. As the number of places that are dedicated to welcoming people who are struggling with addiction shrink, the Barrow Mansion is dedicated to ensuring that the recovery community will always have a home.

Programs that support local artists live at the Barrow Mansion. Our summer music series, Music on the Porch, showcases artists from hip hop to jazz — and we make sure the artists are compensated for their work. Our Salon program has hosted cabaret nights, burlesque shows, spoken word and poetry showcases, and a variety of local musicians.

Programs that help displaced people live at Barrow: we opened our doors to people teaching English to refugees from the Ukraine, free of charge, because they were not able to find space to conduct these classes elsewhere.

Neighbors are always welcome at Barrow: our community-building events, including the Jersey City Birds Art Show and the neighborhood Holiday Party are ways for our friends and neighbors from across the city to come together in friendship.

We do this work because we feel when community spaces disappear, community feeling goes with it. And we want to ensure that the Barrow Mansion will always be a place dedicated to generosity, inclusivity, creativity, and healing, for all of Jersey City.

When you donate to the Barrow Mansion, you ensure that these programs that support our community can continue — and can live in a house that is nearly 200 years old. Please be part of history by contributing to the Barrow Mansion today!
